赤影战士,又名魂斗罗5代,水上魂斗罗(叫水上的原因不明,可能因为场景都跟水有关吧?).本作品并没有延续传统的主人公形象,而把战士改成了忍者.本作在武器系统上也有了很大改进,前作获得相同的武器没有任何改变,本作的系统则是叠加式的(得到相同类型的武器时威力增强了).另外,本游戏中有不少隐藏宝箱,都有想不到的惊喜. 支持双人同时游戏. ※本作品如在双人模式下同时在宝箱上之后打开箱子获得宝物,则两人都拥有该武器———超新星
